pastoral care

Rev. Lionel is available to offer confidential pastoral care and conversation.

Don't hesitate to reach out, as needed, by calling the church or sending us an email message through this website.  Peace be with you!

At the communion table, we acknowledge that Jesus Christ is the host and all are guests. The Small pieces of bread and a taste of  juice are used to remind us of Jesus’ last supper with his followers and of God’s enduring love.

Baptism uses water as a symbolic cleansing that signifies the acceptance of new life within the church family.

With children, instruction is given to parents or sponsors to equip them for the child’s Christian nurture. During the ceremony, everyone in the congregation pledges support for the child and his or her parents.

This is your special day and it's important to book you date and time well in advance. Our minister can assist with your planning, whether you'd like a traditional or contemporary service. If you want to create your own vows for the ceremony, our minister will work with you to make this occasion very special and most memorable.

Claremont United Church is available to provide a special Funeral or Memorial service for your loved one.  Our minister provides the comfort  you may  need in this difficult time.   Our minister will meet with you and your family to discuss your wishes for the service to help you celebrate your loved one with honor and dignity. You don't have to be a member of this congregation to arrange a Funeral or Memorial at Claremont United.
