Baptism
Baptism is the sacrament through which we become members of the global body of Christ. It is the beginning of a spiritual journey.
In baptism we are embraced as God's beloved children and empowered to be followers of Jesus, sharing God's love and justice in our world.
Baptism can be received by children, youth, adults - there's no 'right' time or age to receive this gift.
If you would like to receive baptism for yourself or for your child, please contact our minister through the contact page on this website, or call the church office at 905-649-1363 to arrange an appointment.
Weddings
We give thanks for the opportunity to celebrate your wedding with you!
At Claremont United Church we celebrate equal marriage. Couples of all sexual orientations and gender identities are welcome to have their marriages solemnized in our church, or at a location of your choice, by our minister.
Our sanctuary can offer a warm environment for your wedding. We seat approximately 150 people. Our congregation - the people of Claremont United Church - would consider it a blessing to journey with you and support you as a couple.
Please note that our church building is not fully accessible and does not have wheelchair access. Our accessibility committee is working toward making our church more fully accessible in the future.
Our minister can help you create a meaningful ceremony that reflects your spirituality and your needs as a couple. You are welcome to bring your own musicians or have our Director of Music assist you with music for your service.
Please contact our minister through the contact page on this website, or call the church office at 905-649-1363 to arrange an appointment.
